Hi Muv, My reconstructed boob feels quite funny at times and I have a really tight feeling from round the side of my body to just under this boob. I also felt as though I had a grapefruit under my arm but this has lessened now, more of an egg feeling at the moment. I have had 2 seromas drained so far and can feel another one building at the moment, such a relief when they are drained. You are not a wimp, this is a big thing we have all been through and it will take time. I have said I don’t think I will ever feel normal again, but I hope one day I will. I think we need to take it a day at a time.

I also had mastectomy and all lymph nodes removed on 16th Dec and had my 3 drains removed on day 4.
I have had to have my seroma drained 3 times so far and will probably have to have one more on Friday which is my first app’t with the Onc for Chemo discussions.
You are not a wimp, remember this is a whole new experience for us and we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t have a few worries and anxieties.
Please speak to your BCN and she will advise you. If it’s any comfort the draining process is painless as area is still nice and numb.
As Julie said, it’s a relief when it’s done.
