Hello ladies, I’ve been reading here for a while and have finally decided to post.
I’m 49 and have a recall assessment tomorrow - terrified is an understatement. First screening mammogram. I have a mole on my breast and I’m praying that is what’s being seen - it wasn’t marked on the screening mammogram. No symptoms whatsoever and I regularly check.
Does anyone have experience of a skin lesion showing up as an area of concern?
Abbey
Hello and welcome to the forum.
As you say this was your first mammogram that you have been recalled from, it is possible that because of this they have no others to refer to as an indication of a change then they will want to check to be sure that whatever is showing on there is normal for you. Also keep in mind that a lot of breast conditions are benign so even if there is something showing there is every chance that it will not be cancer.
I am not sure about the mole thing although I know I do have a lot of moles which they did not seem too concerned about.
Let us know how you get on tomorrow
Sending you a hug and we will all be virtually beside you

How did you get on Abbey ?
Cystic changes, nothing sinister thank goodness. I hope having gone through that that I can be some comfort for other ladies facing it. The scan has done its job but that wait was awful.
