I had a mastectomy 3years ago and went for my annual mammogram and appointment with the breast care nurse last Tuesday. She said everything seemed ok after examination. Today I received an appointment letter to see the breast care nurse again next Tuesday when I may have other tests. I can only think that this means cancer has shown up on the mammogram.

Hello Ela. I saw your comment the other day but needed to wait until today when I got my results. I can now tell you that being recalled does not necessarily mean you have cancer! My story is in the post below yours ’ weeks and weeks of not knowing…’ I had BC nearly 10 years ago and was recalled after a mammogram in October. I actually had an operation 2 weeks ago to take out tissue for further testing and the results today showed that it was all benign. Miracles happen! So please take heart and try to enjoy Christmas. If they have seen something very small that looks atypical they check it out with great care but itvcan be OK
