Hi there
I am so sorry you have got this news. Yes, it is very scary when you are first told and it takes a fair while to sink in. I was all over the place to begin with but the ladies on this forum are a wonderful support and any questions you have they will offer you their experiences and knowledge. They are a great bunch!
Do you have a treatment plan yet or are you having more tests?
Take care.
Mary

Sorry to hear your news, stay strong and try to be positive. Just had my MRI today and fed up of all the waiting. Get through each day. Thinking of you and you are in my prayers. Love and hugs Suzanne xxxxxxx
Dear lowfatlovatt,
I’m sure other members will be along to discuss telling your children. But you might also find a couple of our publications helpful. I’ve attached a link to the book “Mummy’s Lump” and also our publication "Talking with your children.

Its just that ive handled everything life has thrown at me since I was 16 but I cant handle this on my own x
Hello, lowfatlovatt. First of all, am I right in looking at your other post that you have recently given birth to a lovely baby boy? So many congratulations.
I completed my chemo, radio and surgery for Primary Invasive DCIS nineteen months ago, and Mary32’s advice about taking things one step at a time is so true. Hospital gave me a treatment diary, and I found it really helpful and satisfying to be able to tick each step of my treatment plan off as the weeks went by.
Do I take it from your forum picture, that you have a French Bulldog? I have two grown up children who were a wonderful support during treatment, but it was my four dogs I told all my deepest concerns to during treatment- animals seem to have an innate empathy when humans are distressed, comforting me when I was tearful etc. Stuff I wanted to keep from my husband and children, but could off load to the dogs!!
Take care, and enjoy your new baby boy- litle ones bring such joy x
Hi, I was 11weeks when diagnosed. I now have a beautiful 11week old baby.
I would be happy to answer any questions you have. There is also support on a private Facebook group which I found invaluable. Search for younger breast cancer network (YBCN). Xxx
