Wishing us all a restful Sunday xxxx
Hi all, I am post op 4 days now. Yesterday was hard - had a bit of a meltdown! I think it was having a bath and my dressing coming away and seeing my boob! I feel battered.
I am trying to stay positive. That’s all you can do. I just wanted to get the op out of the way and deal with that stage.
I am now preparing myself for appointment with the consultant on Wednesday to find out what happens next.
I think out of all this it is the waiting and not knowing. Once you have the information you can start to deal with it.
Sending all you lovely ladies lots of love and hope you’re all doing well.

Hi helvellyn, welcome!
Good luck for your results too sweetie.
This forum has certainly helped me from reading the ladies individual stories, what to expect and amazingly informative.

Hi nicky - that’s good news. Take time to recover from the op and let hubby spoil you!
I am 5 days post op now. Back to the consultant for lumpectomy results and to discuss what happens next tomorrow.
Allow yourself time - I needed to. We go through so many emotions but it does get a little better slowly. I can’t believe I just said that lol. But, I suppose it does. Think what we were like at diagnosis and how far we have come!!
I know I am doing well. A couple of wobbly days but I think I am coping (just) remarkably well.
If you need to know anything that I might be able to help you with then please do ask me or PM me. The dressing plaster is a pain but I have picked up a few tips from the other ladies on here. Just search dressings but don’t freak yourself out with some of the stories. Just keep it dry and as clean as possible. If you think it needs changing before they have advised then get to your surgery, hospital or BCN nurse. It is normal to have the dressing on for a week as mine has been. But, I will be glad to get the blasted thing off tomorrow and have a good scrub lol.
Get hubby to get you some dry shampoo to spray in your hair as I haven’t been able to wash mine since last Wednesday!!!
If you can’t get in the bath just have a “lick and promise” (a saying from my nan!) with a few wet wipes!!! You won’t stink for long lovely lol.
Rest up and take care sweetie.
Lots of love - Mand xxx
