Recently diagnosed with Primary BC waiting to go in for operation

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently joined here and I am learning to navigate the site. I was diagnosed on 12 August 16 with primary breast cancer grade 1 IDC 7mm. I am going in for my lumpectomyoperation tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone is in a similar position & being treated in Wales. There is so much information, reading to take in at this stage but I am goinig to  take it step by step. I am so pleased that I have joined this group as I know it will be a great help to me being to chat to others.

Hi there. I’m Welsh and having treatment at Llanelli. I’ve got grade 2 and have had lumpectomy and wider excision and one lymph node removed which was clear. I had that at end of June and am seeing oncologist next week. I’ve been on a huge learning curve and am very scared of chemotherapy but it does help reading about other ladies experiences. Good luck for your operation. Listen to the advice and have plenty of rest. Xx
