I have been diagnosed with DCIS (43mm). Surgeon said it is at the limit of what can be removed on WLE. I am worried about the future. If I have the WLE and radiotherapy what happens if it returns? Will I be able to have a mastectomy and reconstruction or will the radiotherapy have compromised the remaining breast skin?

Afriend of mine had a wle in October this year, but due to unclear margins had a mx 4 weeks later, was offered reconstruction but doesn’t want it. Hope s to be back to work full-time in Jan
