hi ladies im waiting for my appointment with surgeon to discuss reconstruction, what i wanted to ask was has anyone from the north east area had there recon done by dr hennessey? he was my surgeon who done my mascectomy and done a very good job the scar is very neat, but i didnt realise he done reconstruction . a few people from my area told me about dr bagley . do you have a choice who does recon ? i havnt got a clue so if anyone from the stockton and surrounding areas could let me know about there recon and who perfomed it would be greatly appreciated thanks xxx suzee
I was referred to Mr Bagley by my consultant. Mr Bagely is a plastic surgeon and has a very good reputation. He was very approachable, open and honest, disussing all of my concerns and queries. He was also very honest about all of the pros and cons of reconstruction, and about which techniques he could and could n’t use in my case. I actually decided not to go ahead with reconstructive surgery as I felt the pros outweighed the cons, particularly the risk of loss of mobility, and the amount of additional scarring. Even so, Mr Bagely said I can be re-referred if I change my mind, which is useful to hear.
