I have had 2 lumpectomys and now need a mastectomy and am interested in talking to anyone that has had a reconstruction using your own body fat (diep???) but not the usual tummy option Im looking to use either inner thigh or hip/bottom fat. Can anybody help me with any info.

I spoke to the helpline recently about reconstructive surgery options (I had a mastectomy 5 years ago without reconstruction but may need to consider a double reconstruction if a risk-reducing mastectomy is recommended for the other side).
The BCC nurse I spoke to said that if, in due course, I wished to be put in touch by phone with someone who’d had a particular type of reconstruction they could facilitate this. So a call to BCC may well be helpful for you so you arrange to speak directly to someone who has had this type of operation.
Are you sure you would like reconstruction immediately??? If you had 2 lumpectomies may be the best is to weit about 1-2years? What yours doctor said?
