Hi there. I had Invasive Lobular BC, Stage 2, HER2 neg, ER & PR positive, 3 clear nodes (a few BC cells in one node), Oncotype DX score 18. Had a Mx in March 2017. Rads and Tamoxifen started at the end of May. Last couple of weeks, noticed thickening along Mx scar and raised area over where my BC was most concentrated, prior to Mx. Also, the area is quite sore and feels just like how the BC felt. My team have examined me, saying it’s hardened/trapped fluid and scar tissue but I can’t rest. I don’t think it’s right. I saw my GP this week and she says it feels like fluid but she can’t be sure it’s not BC. She’s asked my Consultant to see me again and ultrasound me. Has anyone else had local recurrence and, if so, what tests were done? Should I be asking for a biopsy or an MRI scan or both? I’m typing this at 0315 hrs, so it’s clearly bothering me

That must be a worry for you, I haven’t had your experience, but if it were me I wouldn’t leave it, as it is obviously worrying you and you need assurance. I would go back to your team and ask for further investigation. I assume you haven’t been discharged? You shouldn’t have been, so should be quick. Try not to worry though (she says!), but you are going to worry given it is similar to your first presentation. Xx
