Reiki anyone?

Hiya All

dont know if Ive spelt it correctly but when diagnosed my aunts friend who works at the hospital offered me reiki, I dont usually like anything like that, however I thought I would try anything. I always felt warm tingles and rushes when I had it done and yawned for england after it, slept a little during and that night but the day after felt so relaxed and much more at ease and slept, but tonight…

I had it after not having it for a few weeks. What a wierd one it was. She spent a long time on my head (was worried it was gonna fall out more in her hands) and I felt really hot and felt like she was moving my head - had lots of little dreams too, then she moved and when she got around my stomach area could feel it again lots but the room started to spin and I felt like I was spinning round and couldnt feel the bed, I opened my eyes which stopped it, shut them and started again until she moved down to my feet.

Very wierd - when she finished I sat up and she said god that was wierd - she had felt the same things as me and had to open her eyes cos the room was spinning. She hasnt long been doing it but she said she thinks its my energy much higher and a sign of healing - anyone else had anything like this.

Oooops sorry for the long ramble - hope it is my energy changing as felt much better and stronger today

xx

Hi lisa
This reiki stuff is amazing. I am at level 1 reiki and lucky that my friend is a reiki master and she gives me and sends me healing all the time. I give myself reiki most day which grounds me. My sister is a non believer but when my friend gave her reiki her reaction was similar to yours now I can’t shut her up about it…she is even asking her angels for guidance and support!!I never thought I would see the day.
Ask your friend to programme reiki for you, she will understand what you mean.

Hi Lisa

I’ve been having Reiki by a friend of mine for over a year now and I enjoy it (whether it does me any good, who knows!). We also do a relaxation/visualisation session afterwards but he makes me laugh a lot and I think that’s what’s part of why I enjoy it.

Maggie - you put elginquine so does that mean you’re a girl from Elgin? I used to live up at Lossie and worked in Elgin.

Thanks both - was worried I was loosing the plot!!

Hi Maggie

My mum and step dad live in new elgin near the big Asda. Elgin is a good place and spent a bit of my teenage years there:-)

It be good to know more about reiki. Where hoping to travel to the lakes for a weekend soon and scared on how it might effect me. How can you get more information and is there any web-sites to read up on it.

Kirsty

If by Lakes you mean Lake District then let me know where you’re coming from because my Aunt is already broadcasting Reiki from Sheffield to me (just outside Penrith) so you might get a little extra

Seriously many people have commented on how unlucky I was to be diagnosed with BC but lucky to be able to do the recovering and healing here in the Lakes.

It’s so beautiful here right now. I haven’t got any work done in the last week because I just keep ambling along taking in the wildlife. Life isn’t so bad.

Nearer the time drop me a message and I’ll check the local weather for you and tell you about the secret quiet easy to get to places (will have to be in a PM, no way is google indexing that information). Just let me know when and what part of the lakes you’re heading for.

Angie

Hmm what we need is a BC haven in the Lake District. People need to get away from the city to heal not head to it don’t they?

Hi Angie

It will be the Lake District we are thinking of. We will be going around August time in the kids summer holidays. My son is going to France with is Dad for is holiday, so me and my hubby need a break for ourselves. Have not decided where yet but any good advice for some peace and tranquility will be great.

Kirsty

Vertangie - guess what i live in cumbria too!!! How wierd is that - I like in a very small town - Whitehaven and work in workington!! Dont think I take advantage of it though
