Relationships post treatment

Just joined up to the site. Diagnosed and treated for invasive breast cancer 6 years ago. Usual - surgery, chemo, rad, anti-oestrogen therapy, ovary removal, lymphoedema. Wow! I’m alive, in remission, working. But lost my relationship due to lethargy and lack of libido. My partner whom I met just before diagnosis has moved on. Seems harsh, but understandable. So how do you move on from here? Its a cruel disease. Sal

Hi Sal,this thing certainly takes its toll on relationships physically and emotionally .If you look in the living with and beyond breast cancer section of the site you will find plenty of people who understand .

Hi,

Just joined this forum and very pleased to discover it. I wanted to wish you well and say the really good thing about going through treatment was the massive amount of support I got from all my friends - lesbians, who knew exactly where I was coming from. And now also a new relationship, post treatment - it definitely is possible.
