Restless legs after TAX

Anyone else suffered from restless legs after starting TAX treatment? I switched from FEC to TAX last Friday and by Monday had the expected aches and pains. It was better in the day by Wednesday but night my lower legs, ankles and feet were hurting and I just couldn’t keep them still. Despite taking paracetamol, ibuprofen, rubbing them with Deep Heat, and even taking sleeping pills, couldn’t get off to sleep until around 4 . Then woke up again at 5.30

I’m going to ring the hospital this morning to ask for advice but I’d be interested to hear from anyone with a similar experience or any suggestions for dealing with it.

Hi Joan
I found that when I swtiched from FEC to TAX i started to suffer muscle pain and bone pain. It would be OK during the day but evenings it would get worse and no amount of painkillers would help. I did find warm baths did help and hot water bottles are the problem areas.
Hope that helps x

I definitely get this - and towards the end of the cycle I get aching legs as if I’ve done a big workout. I think it is a normal side effect as the Tax affects your nerves. I found a bath helps a bit.
