I think the gabapentin made my sleep and restless legs much worse. I’ve stopped it now and am sleeping better - still got restless legs though but hopefully the new sleeping pill will make me sleep through it!! Really feel for everyone suffering from this as it’s horrible!! x
Hi,
I’ve got a cheap Vibration plate from Amazon, really helpful I’ve found.
Having restless legs is horrible , you have my sympathy. I have MS so had RL before letrazole. Previously ( before the cancer diagnosis) I tried amytriptyline which I hated and found it didn’t work anyway. I take magnesium which helps s little but the best thing ( which the Marsden prescribed) has been melatonin . It doesn’t stop RL in the evening and I rarely sleep through the night but it has made such a positive difference. I no longer dread going to bed . Wishing you luck
Hi don’t know if this helps but I was taking a magnesium supplement and it gave me disturbed sleep, perhaps you could try stopping it for a short while to see if that helps?
Hi jeh1 how are you. I got the tablet changed yesterday. They told me it was definitely the tablet causing it. Hope everthing goes well for you
The sleeping pill daridorexant from my GP has helped a lot. My sleep still isn’t perfect but I think it’s keeping me asleep more so the restless legs don’t bother me as much. I can still feel them start to twitch sometimes if I wake up but I go to the loo and do some stretches which seem to calm them down so I can stay asleep until morning. I’ve just got the stiff, aching joints, constant sneezing and runny nose to contend with now!! I’m waiting with baited breath to see what the next unpleasant side effect will be though I feel a bit more positive now I’m getting more sleep!
Hi dulsiedo, I was thinking of getting one of those. My doctor changed the tablet and I still have restless leg.
Hi jeh1, like you Im just waiting for the next side effect. I have the runnie nose aswell. Im hoping it will be gone by Tuesday. Im going for my fifth chemo out of six so thats keeping me going . At the moment Im sick of everthing. I think a lot of the ladies on here can relate.
