Its the day !! had a good cry this am wanted to get it over and done with so i could put on my mascara and then i cant cry anymore cos i will look like a panda when i see the consultant… scared dosent even touch how i feel, im dreading having to have a ct scan if its in the nodes cos more waiting… well fingers and toes are crossed how im gonna walk with my toes cross lord knows, oh and happy birthday to me 49 today this will be a birthday to remember one way or the other… love to all

Its breast cancer stage 3 with suspect lymph invlovement, more tests on lymphs tommorow then op on monday, lumpectomy and gland removal if positive results tommorow ( fna ), well the mascara didnt last past the diagnosis… consultant and breast nurse were lovely and i have to consider myself fortunate in 3 weeks ago I discovered the lump and monday the treatment begins ! i feel as though im in good hands, im sure more tears will flow later but Positive mental attitude is now required BIG TIME , love & hugs to you all x
What a rubbish Birthday present Lottie! We all remember the date we were diagnosed ,how awful that its your birthday.
Hopefully now you have a treatment plan you will feel a bit better and its good you feel that you are in good hands. Just think this time next week the OP will be over!
I am sure you will cry lots more so I can recommend a waterproof mascara from the Bodyshop , its in a turquoise tube. Just so you can keep up appearances without the panda look LOL! I went to get my lashes tinted the other week and my beautician couldn’t get it off!
I hope you have friends/family around who can support you through this.But you will always have your virtual friends on here.

It’s c**p news to get on any day, but on your birthday?? Poor you! I remember wearing my “tweetie pie” knickers to the breast clinic and saying to my OH - how could anyone give me bad news when I am wearing these! Wrong!!
Mine was stage three with lymph involvement - I was dx at the end of May last year, I’ve done 8 chemo, had an mx with axillary clearance and 11 out of 15 Radiotherapy zappings. My Onc told me that it would take a year to get me through it. I am nearly there - you will get through this, and we are all here to support you.
I’m sure you will find something that makes you smile today, and every day.
