results in

hi well my nresults are in , as i thought not brilliant news but i guess better than i expected . my liver mets have grown while on xeloda seems most of them have .
but no bone change and nothing new cropped up anywhere else thank god .
now as he sees me as fit and well , good blods , no pain etc he wants to keep me on xeloda with the added megace ! that was a surprise as i thought i would be back on the big guns .
he wants to watch very carefully and any funny symptoms to tell him asap , as i see him every 3 weeks anyway.he said he is trying to treat me as an individial and not by markers etc .
so i do feel a bit better now and my chemo nurse said she will give me councelling twice a week to help with my mind . i was such a wreck took 3 lorazepams and a sick tray in the room !
hope you get yurs soon dawn …xxxxxx

Good stuff Tracy. Once you know the news and have a plan of action in hand it is easier to cope. Your onc and team sound very caring and it is always reassuring to know someone is watching out for you.

Hope you have a good weekend now, without so much to worry about.

Hi Tracy

Its good news about the bone and I know not so good about the liver mets but your onc seems to be on top of things, and the fact you are looking so well is always good. I also think the nurse has the right idea talking to somebody other than the family will help you can certainly off load all your worries.

Thinking of you have a good weekend

Tracy

That sounds pretty reasonable actually - it sounds like he is reasonably confident that the xeloda is doing something and bones are holding on. So its not too bad really. I am pleasaed for you and also glad that the chemo nurse is giving you some help…i had loing chat with GP today about trying to get more support especially with my son, I dont know if it will do any good…but maybe…

Hope you can have a really nice evening tonight with your family.

Hi Tracy - glad you had better results than you thought you would get. I know its not the news you wanted to hear about your liver mets but bones are good and your onc seems really on top of it and caring.

Much love

Hi Tracy

Glad results better than you though, and know not quite as good as we want about liver mets, but sounds like your onc got all under control and least everything else is good. Am pleased for you. You can relax as such now.

I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD a thing ----- hoping that the old saying “no news is good news” but hey ho, have to wait and see.

Have lovely weekend Tracy, go and try to enjoy yourself, glass or 3 of wine and chill out. Hopefully you will get the help you need to to try to come to terms with all this crap and move on a little.

Take care and hopefully meet again soon.

Love

Hi honey,
I think all in all that’s fairly good news. Better than your worst fears anyway. I am glad they feel they have it under control, and will be keeping a close eye on you in case anything changes.
Also pleased about the extra support. I really hope it’s been a relief for you, and you’ve been able to enjoy your weekend with your family.
Big hug
Jacquie

I think it is reasonable news and at least not as bad as you were expecting. They must be thinking the xeloda and megace will do something for you.#Pleased you ae going to get some help with counselling etc.
Kate

Have been thinking of you, Tracy, whilst I’ve been away - so glad the news wasn’t as bad as you were expecting. Hopefully adding the Megace in will do the trick and keep the liver mets better under control. Good also to hear that you are going to get some counselling - I found the sessions I had last year quite helpful.
