Ribbon Walk, Bleinhem

Ribbon Walk, Bleinhem

Ribbon Walk, Bleinhem Any one else doing this on Saturday? I’ve had to swap to the 10 mile walk as I’ve had a knee injury(so couldn’t train). I’ll be walking with my sister-in-law and two friends. Really looking forward to it. Good luck to any other walkers.

Hi
I am doing the 20 mile walk with a friend. Hoping for good weather as our long walk a couple of weeks ago involved 3 hours in the pouring rain!! Good Luck for tomorrow
Kathryn

I’m not doing the ribbon walk but i am very proud of myself as i did the Cancer Research UK Race for Life last Saturday

The weather was fab and although i didn’t run the race i got round the course in just under an hour and felt a great sense of achievment at the finish.

Good luck and enjoy the walk

Much love

Great day! Kathryn,

Hope it all went well for you. We really enjoyed it, the atmosphere was wonderful. The 2 of us who’d had bc felt a little emotional at the finish, just looking around at all those people on whose lives bc had, (presumably) had an impact.

We did the 10 miles in under 4 hrs (biggest problem was long queues for loos!). My friend who did the 20 mile walk (she’d managed to train properly) finished in 5 hrs - 5th through the finish line. We were all so proud of her, but very glad she wasn’t setting the pace for us!!!

The walk route was beautiful, although I live in Oxfordshire, it’s not an area I know well.

We are all keen to do it next year, and now we know what’s involved, will aim to do the 20 miles.

Wasn’t it hot though?

Best wishes, Sarah
