Ribociclib and travel abroad

Thank you! It’s helpful to hear your experiences. Hope you have a lovely time in France. I have finally decided to take the plunge, and France is where we’re heading soon. Interesting that you mentioned mosquitoes- I always get badly bitten so will probably try to manage this by covering up more rather than using lots of repellent.

Thanks again

Hi kawan, I hope you are getting on as well as possible with chemo. This time last year I was where you are now. It’s tough that’s for sure but things will improve.

I have been on ribociclib for a few months now and planning to go to France this summer. I have just bought insurance for whole family for the ten-day trip and I had to pay an extra £14 for me and will have to pay a (very reasonable) excess if I claim. I got it through InsuranceWith and found them very easy to deal with. Fingers crossed I don’t have to find out how good they are at paying out!

I wish you all the best with the treatment. One day at a time …

Hello Helen I’m new here so this is my first post! I’m on Ribociclib cycle 3 and just got back from a week in Italy. It was wonderful. I wore a mask on the flight and tried to be sensible avoiding super packed areas etc. Luckily everything we did was outside cafes, restaurants, beach etc so it all worked out. Swimming in the sea, lying on a sunbed with a great book, wandering around little villages, felt fantastic. I had bloodwork done before I left and got the OK to fly. Insurance was with Insurancewith - very easy to do. GO you will feel so good after x

Hi ladies,

Just wondering how long after you finished chemo/radiotherapy did you start ribociclib?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Glitter. It is reassuring to hear that.

I have taken the plunge and we’re heading to France at the end of the month. I’m apprehensive about it so I needed to hear a story like this.

Welcome to the forum and I hope your treatment is going smoothly!

I finished chemo end of July 25, radiotherapy finished end of August and I started on ribociclib ibeginning of November. I could have started earlier but wanted time to think about it.

Are you due to start?
