Hi.
I start cycle 3 today. I didn’t have tiredness on that level. But speaking to my nurse today she said symptoms can be so different cycle to cycle. My cycle 2 side effects were so much better than cycle 2!
I hope things started to improve for you. Much as it’s nice to get plenty of sleep - you must feel a bit frustrated at the moment.
How are you feeling other than the exhaustion?

Hi,
I am on cycle 3 of ribociclib and have also experienced fatigue. It is slightly better now than cycle 1 as I think my body has adapted somewhat. I also find it helps to take it with my evening meal rather than breakfast. Oncologist said it was fine to do this. It’s taking it at the same time each day that is important. You could try this if you haven’t already.
I hope things improve for you. It certainly isn’t easy!

Hi Helen & Angela,
Thanks - it’s certainly good to know things may get easier. I’ll have a chat with the oncologist about taking the meds at night rather than the morning to see what she says (let it do its stuff while I sleep!!).
Other than that, I’m fine. Started some Menofit exercise classes at the leisure centre a couple of times a week. Today, I had to lift 1kg weight s and squeeze a giant ball with my thighs (there’s a lot I could say about that)
but I’m enjoying the classes so far.
Hope you’re all ok & doing something nice for the weekend x

Hey all, how’s are you doing?
I start the ovarian suppressant this week, letrozole next week and the ribo will be around 6 weeks later post lung mets surgery, such fun!
I was on tamoxifen previously (5yrs, and seeing as my cancer returned and I had a new primary, it wasn’t all that successful for me)…wanted to share that I too struggled with joint and leg pain (in particular) and found that taking it at around 7pm was most suited to feeling the leg pain less (as I was asleep). There were some occasions when sleeping was tricky because of the pain, but in the main it did help!
It’s great to have Rubi in the horizon (although side effects will need much management)
I’ve also engaged a dietician - she’s got my recent bloods and is going to work specifically with me to support whatever my deficits might be-it’s not cheap, but I feel it’s worth the investment to do the very best I can at feeling the best I can xx
