Hello I have read a few posts on ribociclib but just wondering if anyone takes it and works as a nurse?
Background i had primary Bc in 2018, had chemo and was on tamoxifen I had a mastectomy
Unfortunately after almost 6 years I got a local reoccurance, I had a completion mastectomy further cheno, 15 sessions of raido then in jan started on prostap and Letrozole.
My ribociclib appointment is in 2 weeks. Ive read the leaflet it scares me, chemo made me very ill.
I have gone back to work after 14 months off and been back a month. I am under occupational health my manager is being fab
I do clinics so not on a ward
Just wondering is it doable to still work, I am only 49
I’m not a nurse but am working while on Ribo and finding it manageable. I was scared by the list of potential side effects but 8 months in hardly know I’m on it-it’s not been like chemo at all for me. I did get very tired around cycles 4-6 and dropped my hours a bit but seem to have adjusted.

Thank you so much that does give me hope as the side affects definitely are worrying me
Thanks for your reply
I’ve been on Ribo for just about a year now. I work as a teaching assistant in a secondary school and after a few chest/UTI infections and skin side effects, I’ve been dropped down to 200mg.
They monitor you very carefully until they’re happy. I’ve just been moved from 1 to 3 monthly checks
Tiredness was a bit of a problem but I think exercise has helped. I’ve changed my hours to 4 days a week which has been a quality of life choice, but probably helped with my energy levels too. I’m 62 so a bit closer to retirement age than you. My body is tolerating it well at the moment
