I have a cirle of raised irritation on my cheek…I think it may be ringworm…could it be connected to the chemo?
Hi Babyboo
I have spoken to one of our nurses who advises that while on chemo if you have any change to your heatlh it is always best to go to your GP to get it checked out.

Thankyou… will give them a ring… Oh the joys of drugs…‘sigh’
Hi Babyboo
I developed ringworm shortly after rads. I spoke to the bc nurse and she looked it up on her comp and it said that it can start in an area where there is moist dead skin and appear elsewhere. As I suffered quite bad burns and lost the top layer of skin during rads, I put it down to this. I tried various creams, prescribed and bought over the counter and my mam advised me to use surgical spirits on the area then lightly dust talc on top. I though this was ridiculous but have recently read an article also advising surgical spirits. I know it is great on spots and cold sores but apparenly also on fungal infections. Mine was appearing on my arms and legs and would clear on one leg then flare up on the other. I started wearing pyjamas in bed to prevent skin to skin contact and it quickly cleared up. Hope this helps…
