routine check

I went for my routine check up yesterday, 3 years after treatment finished, nearly. My consultant noticed a lump on my scar below my reconstructed breast. Said he was sure it was nothing but wants to be safe so gave me a local anaesthetic and said he would take a tiny sample and send it to the lab. He stuck a little plaster over it. When I got home, I found my bra covered in blood. The pin prick I was expecting to see was a cirlce of about 4 mm diameter.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m trying not to worry about it but must confess I didn’t sleep well last night!

sounds like he took a biopsy to me which is a couple of mm if I recall correctly.

Hope it all comes back clear for you and you sleep better. After my biopsies they did put something a little more substantial than a plaster on though I must admit.
