This might seem a rather silly post but I thought I might just warn everyone who is getting marked up for rads. Don’t wear a white bra! Cannot get the red ink out of my new sports bra. This is annoying as I bought these before surgery to wear during the day and to sleep in - no bones, soft cotton etc. Wear your oldest bra or a black one.
Just a thought - have you tried using Stain Devils to remove the ink? They do a vast range and there is one for ink removal. They are sold in supermarkets, chemists and places like Wilkinsons too and are quite readily available and not too expensive either.

The ink can also permanently mark a prosthesis too…

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I was warned about the issue with bras so wore a rubbishy old one on the day in question. I wasn’t warned about the prosthesis and didn’t think of that (chemo brain!), so I have a permanent black mark on it that reminds me of radiotherapy everytime I use it, grrrrrrr.
I was told not to wear a bra at all during radiotherapy but that doesnt mean that my lovely supporting vest from M&S hasnt got tattoo stain on it …and I have to buy them by post cos there is no M&S this side of Paris.
