Yes yes yes. Have you team prescribed Loperamide/Imodium? I wasn’t given any after my first Paclitaxel and called the helpline to be told my husband needed to go to supermarket and buy some and following chemos it would be in my bag of drugs. I was then told to take it as soon as I went to the loo and each subsequent time. Having diarrhoea not only removes the chemo from your body too quick you can also become dehydrated, so please try to drink loads of water.

I just about managed with the loperamide but each cycle I took at least 2 tablets on the first and the 1 more over maybe 4 loo visits. I think that’s definitely more than the label on the shop bought product but my team said it was ok.

Please call your team and let them know. I understand there is castor oil in the Paclitaxel and that it what is given if someone is constipated! No wonder this :poop: happens.

Thanks for your reply. The nurse just phoned and said to take Imodium and she’s also checking with the oncologist. It seems weekly pac now has it In for my guts! Thanks for the advice x
