hi sophie
sorry to hear your news, just wondered what bisphosphonate you are on? i am on ibandronate, after secondaries in lung and spine diagnosed in nov 07, my spine is healing very well (i had one radiotherapy zap to it) but rest is due to ibandronate. I read this week an article from an american trial saying that ibandronate is very good at stopping the spread of bone secondaries and that it was better than others on the market. (will see if i can find the article and post the address) so i wonder out of curiosity what one you are on and if ibandronate would be any better for you? Rachel

Hi Sophie
Have followed your previous threads about you brain tumour. Presume that your scans showed good news there which is great. Maybe you’ve not been having any additional treatment for your bone mets during this time and now’s the time to change or start something to help them? As Debs says don’t wait for them to call you, chase them up!
Take care and hope all goes well and you’re feeling OK at the moment.

Hi Sophie, like Zippy I’m on Ibandronate…I think I prefer the daily dose from the Ibandronate tablets rather than the infusions I used to have…my last bone scan showed healing…my hip where I had lesions looks better now than it did in 2003…x
