Not sure if this is the right place, but here goes.

My dx was in May 2007, surgery in June (WLE and axillary clearance - 9 out of 13 lymph glands cancerous) and the path report showed there are still pre-cancerous cells in the affected breast. (I will have a mastectomy in March).

I have not been offered any scans and am wondering if this is normal. Should I ask my onc for scans, or is this only done if you have symptoms? I feel so crap on the chemo that I wouldn’t know a symptom if it bit me on the nose, but I am just concerned that they are not checking for spread given that a high number of lymph glands were involved.

I think you should. I had 6/14 positive nodes. My onc said he didn’t expect the scan to show anything but it would give a baseline incase of future problems. I would insist if i were you.
