A year post treatment for BC and have fatigue and joint pain but over last few weeks have had lower back pelvic pain. Just a constant ache that becomes more painful on standing. Saw GP and sent for X Ray’s they took 4 X-rays of pelvis and said to see GP in 2 weeks am so scared I truly believe I have secondaries in my bones feel such a wimp.
Hi Suez,you are not a wimp ,I think we are all hyper aware of any new aches and pains and understandably anxious about the possibly of secondaries.If you hadn’t had breast cancer would you be unduly worried by a bad back ,probably not ,there are many other less sinister explanations .Hope you get reassurance soon .Jill.
Let us know how you get on,try and keep busy,good chance there are other explanations for your symptoms .
Hi ive just joined this hope thats ok, im like you suez I have terrible back ache and very sore left hip, my treatment finished on christmas eve and im now very scared its in my bones, its causing me sleepless nights and very bad lows daily, ive not had my yearly check up yet and this is what keeps me going, I also have pain in my groin, its all getting me down and very anxious and scared… maybe it is to do with the tablet or menopause or just everything, people say i need to get some sort of councilling to help me cope ! I hope your pain eases
Aches and pains are very common with Tamoxifen and Letrozole ,it’s very easy to get paranoid about every twinge isn’t it?Do you not have any follow up before 1 year check ?If not you should ask for a appointment just to reassure yourself,hope you feel better soon.
Pain still in joints and back and right hip. Oncologist sending me for bone scan on Monday. Feeling scared and low but hoping it’s going to be ok. Just reading through posts on this forum helps so much can’t talk to anyone else as don’t want them to know I’m scared and just feel so comforted by all the lovely brave ladies out there. Hi Suez and all, while i dont want anyone to be struggling your posts have helped me. I am 6 weeks post rads after a wle and cavity shave to remove high grade DCIS. I am not on any horm9ne tablets or treatment. I was ok for a couple of weeks and went back to work but now i am shattered, weepy and worrying about my bones too. I have a pain in my lower back and right side andcin my hip, knees and ankle joints. My toes are painful too. A hip xray showed a bit of arthritis and a whole rack of blood tests have come back normal. Just waiting on a vit d one. This thread has made me think it must all be the effects of the radiotherapy - but i dont like it! I hope you all feel better soon. I will be getting a loyalty card for my GP at this rate xx
