scared silly - encouragement needed!
scared silly - encouragement needed! Hi ladies,
I had BC 4 years ago, age 35, grade 1 stage 1 ER+. I had a mastectomy, ovaries removed, and have been on tamoxifen ever since.
I have just been for my yearly checkup, and the consultant found a thickened area in my other breast.
I had a mammogram from lots of different angles, which didn’t show anything, and am going back next week for an ultrasound.
I am really scared, and not coping very well with the waiting. I could really do with some encouraging words. I know nobody can tell what the outcome of this will be, but a bit of support would be great. I don’t want to tell my friends and family because it will hopefully all be fine, and I don’t want to worry them.
So come on, girls, show me the love!
Hugs Hi, I’m sorry that you are feeling very scared but that is not surprising. I cannot say anything about the outcome but just wanted to say that there will be lots of people out here that will be thinking of you and will understand what you are going through. The waiting is always the worst part.
So I am just sending you lots of hugs and caring thoughts.
Take care.
Angela.
Lovexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx heres the love and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx hope it helps that others really understand what you are going thru and how scared we can get once the imagination and web surfing gets going.I had the all clear from my liver this weeks after 3 mnths of hell-had dead and buried myself-had ct ultra sound and 2 mris before they decided it was a bit of bl***y fat on my liver.so for me its very fresh so do empathise with you.thinking of you and sending big cyber hugs- you will get support here-l did and it was good!take care love sharonx
Thanks very much for your replies. I feel a bit calmer about the whole thing now (most of the time, anyway).
Sharon, how awful to go three months before finding out, you must be SO relieved. Very pleased for you.
Had my copy of the consultant’s letter to my GP, it didn’t mention the mammograms at all, but did say he had found a lump Don’t like that word much. Now I’m wondering why he didn’t do a biopsy while I was there?
Anyway, I’m trying not to think the worst, and hope the waiting bit won’t go on for too long.
Thanks again,
CM
Hallo Catmummy,
The waiting is sheer h*ll, isn’t it? So glad you feel calmer now. Sending you lots of hugs and waves…
Helen.

HOORAY! Well, the wait is over.
After spending 5 hours at the hospital, I was told it was benign. Huge feeling of relief!
I hope all the others waiting on results have such good news too.

GREAT News Catmummy! I’m really pleased for you…you can breath again!
