I was diagnosed in May 2007 had Lumpectomy and within 2 weeks had 2 new 5cm. lumps. Started TAC Chemo straight away, Masectomy in Oct. Node removal in Nov. (21 out of 24 involved) Rads in Jan.2008. I had a Bone Scan and CT in Dec. both clear and am triple neg. Saw Onc. May said come back in 12 months.
Last few weeks had pains in back shoulder and tummy and numbness in my chin and face (feels like just had injection at Dentist) and terrific pains in my jaw. Had Bacteria in my urine and am Anaemic. Am seeing Oral Surgeon in 2 weeks but when I went back today for some painkillers she said she would contact the Onc. Six o’clock this evening the Onc called me at home & said he would like to see me tomorrow before clinic, I have transport problems so said best to arrange emergency CT & Bone Scans and he will see me with results to discuss treatment. I feel as if everyone is assuming I have Secondaries. Sorry for moan.

Oh Val, you poor thing, that is so worrying. I will keep everything crossed for you that all is OK. The fact that the scans in Dec were clear is good news.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems and that you think everyone is assuming it’s escondaries. It may be nothing but it’s best that they check it out asap. I know how you feel tho as I was at the GP the other day with a tamoxifen side effect issue and whilst there happened to mention that I had a touch of back-ache - cue GP to jump on the referral key and order a bone scan.
