Scared

Hi everyone,

My name is Jo I’m 31 years old, mum of 2. I went to see my GP 2 days ago because I had pain on my left breast. She examined me and came out that the right side breast could be problematic. She was concerned because the skin near the nipple was dimpling. She has referred me to a clinic for further investigation.
I am petrified! Everyone is trying to calm me and telling me it is going to be OK but I can’t relax until I have done the proper check up.
I can read on other posts symptoms such as lumps in the breasts and discharge etc but I did not see anyone writing about similar symptoms like mine. Has anyone had the same experience?

Comments are welcomed

Thanks,

Jo

Hi Jo

Sorry you have found yourself here but it’s the right place to come for support.

When it comes to symptoms we are all different and it would be so hard for anybody to comment one way or the other except for our individual cases. It is scary waiting to see someone and then get the results this is the most confusing scary time because you don’t know what if anything you are dealing with.

Do you have your appointment through yet? Hopefully it won’t be too long to wait. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry too much you are doing the right thing by getting checked.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you for a quick appointment and good results. You know you can come on here anytime and get support.

Let us know how things go

Lots of love

Hi Jo,

I had similiar thing pain in my left breast and went to GP, she found 2 lumps, I have got a mammogram tomorrow at 14.30.
The waiting has been hard, all different emotions. I am also 31 and have a 4 year old daughter and you feel lost.

All I can say is the support on her is great and everyone knows how you feel and they have helped me over the last couple of weeks.

Have you got your appointment date yet?, I am thinking of you and come and chat when you feel you need to talk.

Take care

Hope you’re doing OK.

I’ve got an appointment with my GP Monday morning for a similar problem - I have an indent on the side of my areola.

Not sure what else to say just offering some support and hope you get an appointment soon.
