is getting scared tomorrow is my appointment at clinic to have test on swelling breast swelling under armpit and inverted nipple carnt rest really worried but need to get it sorted out
Hi jessicachristine, you are bound to be worried about tomorrows appointment, but it has to be done, and tomorrow at this time you will be over the first hurdle, I remember it well. I am three years away from that day now, but know exactly how you are feeling, and so does all our other friends on this site. Hopefully others will be along soon to give you some comforting words. Hi JC yes I remember it well the clinic day, not sleeping not eating crying all the time … one step at a time think of it as in a week you will know more of what is what & the next step AND it could be benign / hormone related, but totally umderstand where you are coming from. All I can say is do whatever you need to as to get through tonight I know how hard it is I found even listening to relaxation CD’s hellped a bit but at this stage with clinic next day my mind would wonder, its like the worry is so overpowering it consumes every inch of your brain.

Of course you’re worried- it’s absolutely normal and would be a bit weird if you didn’t.
The thing is that you’ve done the right thing. You noticed something that was different and now you’re getting it looked at. Far better than ignoring it and hoping it will go away.
You also need to try and keep in mind that most lumps and bumps aren’t cancer.
You might find that it’s a ‘one-stop’ clinic. If it is you might have a few different scans and tests - font panic! It doesn’t mean they have definitely found something! They do it all in one day to get the info quickly, which is good as waiting is awful. If not a One-Stop’ you might find you’re called back for further tests - again don’t panic, it’s a routine way if doing things.
Once done you’ll probably have a 2 week wait for your results. This is a rotten time but try not to Google symptoms- you’ll drive yourself mad and convince yourself you’ve got the lot (here speaks the voice of experience!).

we all know that feeling and it doesnt get any better i am a wreck at all appointments now and will be dreaful when scan results are due but we just have to get through them and hopefully the results are good if not then move forward in getting them dealt with good luck and hugs to you xxx
