scars where bra would go - what to wear?

Hi all
I had SNB and WLE for stage 1 IDC a week ago. The scars are all at the side of my boob so i can’t wear my lovely new sports bra bought specially as the armhole is just where both scars are.

Has anyone else had this and what’s the solution?! I’m currently wearing a stretchy vest top which I tuck underneath my boobs which are fairly large. I cd really do with more support tho.

I had lumpectomy and auxillary clearance in Sept. I have a scar under my armand one under my breast where your bra goes. I wore sloggi comfort tops . I paid £12 for mine. The sizes of them are quite small and I bought a much bigger size. I found these really comfortable to wear and they do give you a bit of support. I also bought a bra extender to fasten on to tne back of my braand this also helped when I started to wear bras again.

I would definetly recomend sloggi comfort tops they are so soft.

I believe all sorts of places sell them - I do have 2 from M&S already but again the armholes go right across my scars.

Have managed to improvise by wearing lycra vests with spaghetti straps which I tuck underneath my (slightly saggy) boobs - they have fairly high armholes and are better than nothing!

I had a seroma after my mx, and couldn’t wear a bra, so I cut the leg off of an old pair of thick tights, then cut along the leg (from the toe to the thigh end) to make a long strip.

I tied this around myself like a big bandage. Bliss.

I could even tuck a softee inside.

I too can not wear a bra at the momment after surgery. Im still quite swollen and the front opening one i brought wont go anywhere near me!. Im quite big busted so its quite difficult to find larger ones. My friend got me a tshirt top from M and S with a secret shelf. this has worked for now because i havent really left the house. Gill x
