Secondary live chat tonight 8.30pm - 9.30pm

Hi forum members

If you have secondary breast cancer, that is breast cancer that has spread to another part of your body, perhaps you would you like to come online and talk to others in the same situation this evening from 8.30pm - 9.30pm. There is an expert breast care nurse and a trained facilitator present to run the session. If you have secondary breast cancer and would like to join then you need to be registered on the forums. Then at 8.30 just go to breastcancercare.chatjet.com/bcc/index.html type in your user name and password and join the chat.

Most weeks I do something else on tuesday evenings so can’t join in live chat, but maybe one day i would be interested to lurk… never tried live chat before and I am curious to understand how it works! But I think I heard that there is a limitation on numbers, I wouldn’t like to take the place of someone who really needs to actively participate. Is there a way someone could be in a “lurkers area” (can read but not post) for one or two sessions, to see whether Live Chat is for me or not?

Please feel free to ‘lurk’ - although there were concerns a while ago about how many were in the chatroom, Abbey and Izzy have coped very well with us!!! There are between 8 and 10 of us in there usually.

Although we cover the more serious concerns, we also have a laugh too!!

It is great support - you know that there are really people there in the same situation as yourself.

Please come along - you’ll wish it was longer than an hour - it goes so fast!!!

If you want to come along and just watch then you are more than welcome. Often people come and watch for a while and then join in the conversations a bit later. At the moment we are coping with numbers so you are more than welcome to come along.

I have just started on fentanyl patches for pain and they seem to be making me very sleepy. My personal evening best seems to be 8pm at the moment. I will try and stay awake but as I have said on another post, I am there in spirirt if not in body…!
