Hi does anyone know if the cancer as spread from breast to lungs is this classed as stage 4 I’ve 2 small lumps on each lung but I’ve not been told it’s that stage thanks x

I too have secondary but just in one lung, I believe I am stage 4 from what I have read onc the cancer has spread outside the breast to other organs, I have never been told as such just from what I have heard and read. I have had lung mets for 20 months and I am being treated with letrozole, an anti oestregen drug which has so far kept me stable. My Professor has just sent a letter to our London branch to see if I would benefit from cyberknife treatment so I am waiting to hear from them. Have you started any treatment yet?

Yes I have the same DX, when the BC spreads to other areas it is called metasteses, and is now classed as stage 4, your BCN will explain all to you.

Hi Bertie no I’m going on a trial in about 3/4 wks I’m having taxol and maybe something else but won’t know cos of trial I’m triple neg so I’ve only got chemo feel bit low at moe only found out wk ago gd news with y 20 months tc laura x

I know just how you are feeling, I was absolutely devastated and as I am an anxious person anyway those first few months were awful. As time goes on and you start your treatment plan you will start to feel better, I never thought I would but I did and I am enjoying life again as I am sure you will. When you read on this site how well other women are doing it will give you confidence, at first there are too many things to get your head around. I am sure you will start to feel better soon.
