semi permanent eyelashes

Hi Ladies

I stopped wearing my wigs at 10 weeks after my last chemo. My hair used to be very long so I have found this new very short covering a challenge. All made worse by a reduced amount  eyebrows and of eyelashes on my top lids and none on my bottom ones. I decided to get some semi permanent lashes to the ones I had. They looked fab. Now four weeks after my lashes are coming through although very short I have had more semi permanents put on and they look long and thick like wearing mascara. This has helped my confidence alot.

My lovely friend from the chemo unit commented on them over coffee last week so I am taking her to get hers done next week.

Morning Dawn

Really great to hear the eyelashes are adding to your confidence.  I had similar when mine started coming through and felt very glamorous.  In fact the first time we ditched the tea and went out for a drink…

Have you been to a ‘Look Good Feel Better’ session.  That was a great boost and to be fair i have continued buying some of the lovely products that were in my goody bag.

I too had long auburn (with some help) hair before Fec100 got to it but now i have kept my hair short as it is more convenient for swimming (i go more often as i can do my hair and make up in 3/4 hr and get to work) .

Hope you are having a good day.  Take Care.  Gilly x

HI Gilly lovely to hear from you. Yes the lashes are great aren’t they i believe eyebrows are out now too.
I didn’t actually go to the look good feel better events as I wore my makeup did my nails even when they came off and had six wigs. But my friends went and loved them.
I think like you I will probably keep my hair short from now on. I miss my long hair though I miss styling it and I had in my head what I was going to do with it when I get married next year.
How long have you been finished treatments? How are you feeling? Dawn x
