Went for 3rd FEC chemo today n i couldn’t have it as suffering horrendous breathlessness, so bad i can’t get from sofa to front door without the breathlessness. Had it after 1st chemo but not as bad and it lasted only about 4 days. After 2nd chemo it’s been really bad and lasted the full 21 days. Chemo nurse made me have an ECG today which showed a change but nothing major… she did say the chemo i’m on has a side effect of breathlessness but shouldn’t be this bad…so have to see oncologist friday …also veins collapsed in chemo arm and have to have line put in…anyone else had this problem.? x
FEC can make you very anaemic, which causes breathlessness. I was pretty bad towards the end, so had to have an extra heart test with a monintor for 24 hours, but it all cleared up about 4 weeks after the final FEC. Fingers crossed that it’s nothing worse than that and that they can help you out.
