Hi everyone
Just wanted some advice I am on Vinorilbine weekly getting 4th tomorrow, but all week I have had sever pain in my right side of my back its nearly like theres a pluse or something in the muscle. I have been away on holiday with my 2 kids but I lay awake crying at night with the pain and when I did get to sleep I woke at 5am. I have had a miserable couple of days. Would this be a sideaffect of the chemo or is something else going on. Its not the usual liver pain its further down my back. Any advice would be so helpful
Hi cheezy,
all these odd pains are so worrying aren’t them :(. But I suspect there is no advice we can give you other than to recommend you speak to your bcn or onc and let them know what is happening. The longer it goes on the more anxious you get.
Hope it sorts out soon,
Dawn

Cheezy, I agree with Dawn please go get this checked out!! Vinorelbine gives me severe muscle cramps from time to time. They have been in my feet, calves, thighs, arms, shoulders, and back. Also get extreme indigestion with any chemos and the pressure builds up in my back, shoulders, under my rib cage in the front. Funnyface
hi
I just wanted to say that when I was on Vin, i suffered cramps in all sorts of strange places, one would be down my back, it felt like a twisted muscle. your liver is very high up in your rib cage and the pain you would recieve from your liver would actually be from an enlargement (as the liver has no nerves) usually the swelling would cause pressure on your diaphram or rib cage its usually high up and in the front of shoulder or around coller bone area…anyway pain is not to be dissmissed and should be discussed asap with your medical team. If it is cramp they can prescribe you quinine.
Good Luck
