Hi all awoke this morning with shooting pains down my left side been havin pain in legs Knees n shoulder so last week they said they’d put me forward for a bone scan. Dont kno how long this will take n is this a symptom. I’m worried ? X rozita

I was diagnosed with bone mets but had no symptoms at all. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing to worry about. I’m sure there will be some other bone mets women along with advice soon…

Hi,
I was diagnosed with bone mets at same time as primary in July 07. No pain from bones at all. Had chemo, surgery and rads for primary but nothing directly for bones. Then on hormone tablets. I did start to get pains round my side and ribs just over a year ago to the extent that turning in bed was hard work and moving a certain way created pain. They did another bone scan, haivng had a stable one 6 months earlier, and found the cancer in one of my vertebra had spread to cover the whole of that particular bone and make it put pressure on the nerves and muscles. Had a one-off rads blast and that sorted it. I sometimes get back and leg aches and pains if I’ve done too much or slept funny or if the weather is damp so perhaps that may explain your pain. I am stable at the mo, to the extent that I have asked the surgeon to do a 2nd mx for me on my good side to balance me up and give me better posture (no recon) and fingers, toes and everything crossed, that’s being done at the end of next week - can’t wait!!
