shortness of breath- help please

HI
i have had 13 weeks of paclitaxol and on my last one 3 weeks ago noticed a tightness in my chest, and trouble breathing, i am in no pain with it just a feeling of compression. I have spoken with my onc who has sent me for ecg’s, heart echo, vq scan to check if there was a clot in my lungs, and a chest x ray but evertyhing has come back all clear, I have bone and liver cancer, the doc doesnt seem to know whats causing this pressure on my chest, she suggests it could it be the hot spots in my ribs flaring up, the chemo has worked so far and i am feeling well apart from this.
any help/advice would be much appreciated.

thanks

Hi, I have shortness of breath with taxotere/herceptin and have secondaries in liver and possibly bone. Initially thought it was just me, but your are the second person who has mentioned it on these forums. Oncologist is keeping my taxotere does at 3/4 and, after tests on my kidney will probably complement it with carboplatin for the next cycle of treatment. I am learning to live with it at the moment, resting when I need to and not pushing myself. Sorry not much advice, but just at the beginning of this myself, only had second treatment myself yesterday.

thanks Snoogle, its prob something i will just have to get on with but its a worry!!
thanks
take care

Hi Caz, Wishing you well. Sounds like your oncologist has not taken it lightly. Best of luck. Snoogle x
