should we be worried?

hi. my wife and me are a bit worried.
the left breast is a bit harder than the right one in compressed condition while trying to find for a lump… cud thr really be a problem or is it just a tension we created n need not to be worried about?

Hi

Always get anything like this checked out. It could be nothing but always worth getting looked at

This morning I have discoved that my left nipple is completely black, it has been painful since September, I am very worried and so is my Husband. I dont know hat to do, could it be bad circulation or something more please advise

If you have any concerns at all, please go straight to the gp at the earliest opportunity, it is much better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully it will be nothing, but if it is it is better to catch it early and start treatment than to ignore things and hope they go away.

Two years ago I found a tiny cyst. I went straight to the gp that day who also thought it was a cyst. She referred me to the hospital where after scans it was confirmed as a cyst BUT two other suspicious areas were picked up which turned out to be cancer. So in my case, in a very strange way, it was a blessing in disguise. The cancer was caught eaarly and hadn’t spread outside of the breast.

All the best

Hi, yes you must get ANY change to the breasts checked out, hopefully it will be nothing to worry about.but if it is a cancer the earlier the detection the better.

I went to my GP in May because I noticed my right breast had reduced in size, I had a beast check and no lump was found, he thought it could be hormonal, I then went back 3 weeks later and asked to be referred, after all the tests I was diagnosed with a cancer( it was behind the nipple), I am still going through treatment, so I would say to anyone with worries to go to the GP and get it checked out.
