Hi Mary,

I went to a LGFB session at New Cross in Jan last year. It was absolutely superb and I’ve still got some of the goodies they gave us. You’ll have a great time!

I’m going to LGFB at new cross in 3 weeks. It’s at the Deansley centre which is the oncology unit there. Will let you know how I get on.
Nicky

nicky - I rang re the workshops and they offered me one in june which suits better as the may one is in kids hols and we’ll hopefully get a few days away somewhere…just before my third tax…mary x

my friend Michelle that I met when at the first clinic and then we were in at the same time from surgery is from Telford and I’ve told her about the meet up, don’t think she’s registered as yet but is at the moment in on wd 21 with neutropenia…so will see how she is…mary x

Hi friendsI went to the Percy Thrower GC to buy plants today and had coffee and cake in the cafe. How are we going to recognise us?Whoever is first is going to feel a bit funny-you cant say to each woman,‘excuse me,did you have breast cancer?’.
Mary I really hated Ward 21 when I was on there with neutropenia post taxotere.I was only in a couple of days though.

I guess my lack of hair will make me recognisable! I don’t wear a wig as I find it too uncomfortable and my cap doesn’t disguise my bald pate. How about the suggestion of pink ribbons/ Marie Curie daffodils?
Nicky x

Oh what the heck we will manage-as more people arrive we will be obvious.I have a pink ribbon badge but I have lost my MC daffodil.I am becoming quite excited now

We can all wear our ribbons or daffodils, and let’s try to get a table by the window, on the right as you face the counter. Also, my mobile number is 07913 086957 so people could text me when they arrive if they’re shy. Having said that, hope I’ll be OK to come myself - I start chemo tomorrow!

Susanne hope your chemo went well today. I have my next dose tomorrow but am determined to be there on Sunday. Thanx for your mobile no but hopefully won’t have to use it.
Nicky

Good luck with the chemo you Shropshire lasses I hope everyone is ok for Sunday.I will put my mobile on too when I can find it.

Ditto to what horace says, good luck chemo ladies!

What time did we say on sunday? Is it 2pm??

Looking forward to meeting you all,

Kelly

Yes, 2pm. Look forward to seeing you all - we should be quite a gang. Maybe we should ring and warn 'em we’re coming!!!

hi all - I’m having trouble sending private messages so just wanted to say all the best for the chemo nicky and suzanne - better late than never eh?! And see you all then…I’ll prob have my headscarf on as I’m getting a bit tired of the wig but will see! mary x

Not sure if I’m going to be able to make it, chaps - still feeling vile on the chemo, can’t eat, got tummy pains and queasiness. If it’s worn off by tomorrow I’ll be there!

oh sorry to hear that susanne - but its early days yet with the chemo for you isn’t it - would anyone be passing that could give you a lift do you know?? Not sure who else is coming…mary x
