Hi there, I dont have any answers to your post but am going to start FEC very soon and would appreciate feedback on how bad it makes you feel. I have three young children and am trying to prepare!! Was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma at the beginning of jan, have had surgery to remove some nodes and both cancerous lumps but am waiting for the oncologist aptm to come through to get started on the FEC, they said the appointment should only take a couple of weeks to come through. I had surgery on Jan 28th and still no appointment - worrying myself sick and being paranoid that the cells might be mutating into nastiness again!! Sorry to go on, its my first time chatting on a forum. Although I have loads in the way of family and friends I dont want to bore them with the cancer story again!!! Thanks Sarahx

Remember that each persons experiences are unique to them.Bearing that in mind here are mine:)I too have triple neg IDC.It was 2cm,grade2.I had a lumpectomy and 4xfec4xtaxotere and 15 rads.
FEC:-On the night following chemo I vomited once only each time with slight nausea for about 3 days.My taste buds lost their sensitivity and even water[except sparkling]tasted sort of dull and metallic-tea[which I love]was horrid, coffee undrinkable.Anything citrusy was tolerable. The steroids made me ravenously hungry for all kinds of odd things at odd times despite the limitations of my taste buds.I loved fresh pineapple, egg and chips with ketchup and grilled fish.By the end of week one my scalp was all tingly and sore and by the end of week 2 my hair fell out over a couple of days.By day 10 I began to feel normal and by the time the next one was due I was fine.I had a problem with exhaustion which was cumulative and took longer to go away each time. There are lots of chemo threads on here just check them out.Hope this helps a bit.
Love Valxx
