Sister might have BC now.

Hi folks

Four weeks ago I had a WLE for DCIS in my right breast,my cousin had undergone a mastectomy for invasive lobular cancer 3 months ago.
My sister has now had to have a chore biopsy on her right breast as they found calcifications after her mammogram.
She had been called for her first routine mammo, but she did’nt go,after my diagnosis I persuaded her to book an apointment and they called her back 5 days after it was done.
I know not all calcifications are cancer, but mine were and If my sister’s are the same I wonder if this would merit genetic testing?

I have 5 sisters,all in thier 50s and 60s and between us we have 9 daughters,so I am a bit concerned.
Any advice available from more experienced folk?

Thanks in advance

What history from mother and Grand mother> I think it has to be 4 relations being diagnosed, not sure how many generations need to be involved tho’ I would speak with surgeon or GP and ask. I have BRCA2 and grandmother, mother and sister have had BC, so I was genetically tested, being the youngest diagnosed.

Good Luck, hope all is well with your sister. My sister and I were diagnosed within 3 months of each other, and arranged to have chemo on the same days! We also used to see the oncologist for our reviews together, but I now have different appts., which is hard for my sister.
