Size

After my WLE in April and having the bottom quarter of my breast removed I am now noticing a definate difference in size as I have mentioned on previous threads.I have an appointment in a few weeks to discuss products to fill me out.I am wondering now if it is possible in the future to have an op to make both breasts the same size.I initially had thought that I didn’t want more surgery but as I am now starting to feel self conscious is it the best way to go?
Would be interested in others opinions and experiences.
Thanks

Mary

I have seen partial reconstructions done after bad results and I was in fact offered one, which I decided not to go for as in my case it would have involved a skin graft which I thought would look worse than the result I had, but you could ask to see a plastic surgeon

Thanks.have posted on other thread.Prob won’t do anything but keeping options open.

Hi Mary,I had same op as you and its only now 4+yrs down the line that I’m begining to think that a bit of filling out would work wonders.I’ve read somewhere that liposuction is an option, and although it may not be on the NHS its worth looking into…I’ve just thought - I haven’t got much donor fat to spare!

Hi,
joseymarie, I am interested to read your post, I had WLE in jan 04, I am now also 4+years down the line, and have noticed that my effected breast seems to be smaller now than after surgery and am quite concious of it, seems to of got smaller over the last 2 yrs…am wondering if radiotherapy plays any part in that???
