Skull mets

hello everyone, I haven’t posted for a while.  I got a bit despondent for a while.  Losing our lovely Helen (2catlady) and then Jackie Collins - also a friend I met when we were both diagnosed around the same time passed away at about the same time.

i should 't be because I was diagnosed three years ago and my scans have been stable since then (some of my mets don’t show anymore) and TMs fell steadily and now hover around the 35-40 mark.  I am very happy about that and sometimes feel a bit guilty for worrying because my load is light compared to many others.

don’t want to come on here and whinge after an absence but I have a question regarding skull mets.

i have been looking for travel insurance for a holiday.  They have asked me  if I have skull mets, which I have…they then went on to ask me if they were on the inside or outside of my skull.

I assume that they mean between the skull and the skin    or    Between the skull and the brain.   Or could the ‘outside’ be referring to my scalp.

i asked the BCN and she said thst she  would ask the ONC if he will have a look at the scan but she won’t see him for a couple of weeks and I am not seeing him until January…

Just Wondering if this has happened to anyone else - and apologies for the whinge at the beginning…

Lynn, so lovely to hear from you . So very sorry about your friend, I too struggle with missing Helen and think of her often. I don’t  have any knowledge of skull mets, so can’t help. Hope you get an answer and get travel insurance sorted for that lovely holiday.

Take care

Hi Lynn,
Have you tried eurotunnel for travel insurance? I got annual cover for 2 people for £71. They don’t ask questions, the criteria are that you are fit to travel, stable, not travelling to get treatment and not terminal. Quite a lot of people on here are using this cover!
All the best Glo xx
