Oh bless you.
You’ve got a lot to deal with and yes hot flushes are always worse with stress.
So sorry to learn about your husband.
Must be extremely difficult for both of you.
I can’t take the supplements as they don’t agree with my tum but I’ll keep looking for any help
@bluesatsuma I am on Anastrozole and found taking it in the morning made some improvement to my sleep. Worth trying different times to see if it makes any difference for you.
Hi I’m in to my fourth year of taking Letrozole and suffer from all the above. I’ve changed to taking mine in the morning and a magnesium tablet half an hour before bed which has helped with a better night’s sleep. Worth a try
Good to read the advice here. I have been on it for six weeks and to start with, took it about half an hour before bed - and couldn’t sleep at all. It was like being wired on caffeine. I have been taking it just before I turn out the light for a few nights and that helps. But I’m going to try the mornings next to see if that helps. Bit worried it might affect me during the day at work, but it’s worth a shot! x
I also asked my GP to prescribe something to aid sleep particularly after initial BC diagnosis at Christmas. She gave me promethazine (given for car sickness too) and I’ve found it helpful. I now take one at night if I feel the need so not every night. Currently going through chemo. I’m hoping I’ll get a repeat prescription if requested. I have been taking Letrozole since early February.
I’ve been on a trial and error with the timing of Letrozole.
If I took it a little while before bed, I couldn’t sleep - insomnia and restless legs.
If I took it right as I put the light out, it was better. But you need to be able to sleep before it kicks in.
In the morning, I felt utterly wrecked until about 4pm. So I am now taking it at 5.30pm and so far so good - early days but I get through the day with a clearer head and not feeling constantly queasy and I can just about get to sleep. I am hoping this continues…X
Sorry not been on here for a few months, had a difficult time with Hubby,s cancer over the last 12 months. He passed away on June 15th this year. Being on my own now is very strange after being his nurse for the last 6 months.
Morning, hope everyone is well. I’ve been on Letrozole for 12 days now and have been experiencing pins and needles throughout my body, especially both the bottom of my legs and feet, tension headaches and insomnia. With my acute medical anxiety I’m worried there is something seriously wrong! Has anyone experienced these side effects with taking letrozole? x
I had tingling/pins and needles when I was on Letrozole. I believe the other symptoms you also have are also on the leaflet included in the packet. It affected my hands so badly with swelling as well to the point I couldn’t open bottles or jars or squeeze things.
Some people report things easing up after a few weeks but if they don’t then talk to your team x
