Sleepless nights

5am and I can’t sleep again. I’ve got a re-call appointment on Monday and I’m already worried sick, I’ve hardly eaten a thing in days.
I’ve had fluid cysts in my breasts before; I do self check, but this time I can’t feel a lump so I don’t know what’s wrong.
My breast has been painful for a few weeks; I didn’t see my GP as my routine mammogram was due, it was just such a shock to get the re-call letter. It seems there are a lot of us going through the same thing at the moment - just wanted to wish you all love and luck, and to say that we’ll all get through this!

Hiya, The early hours are the worst time and your mind will be racing with anxiety, I know it’s impossible not to panic but the majority of recalls will be given the all clear, my sister was called back after her first one and they could find nothing of concern at all after another mammogram and Ultra sound . As you say sadly there are many ladies here going through a similar thing so you are not alone and there is always an ear here for you , please let us know how you get on Xx Jo

Hi, just wondered how you got on?

hope all was ok…very best wishes for a good resultxx

Hi there Jobey69 and Moijan
Thank you so much for replying to my posts -I’m OK!
The radiographer was puzzled when she did my ultrasound because two lumps clearly showed up yet when she examined my breast she couldn’t find anything either.
She performed a fine needle aspiration anyway and sure enough, they disappeared from the ultrasound. They were fluid filled cysts again. I was so relieved that I burst into tears in the changing room.
Thank you again for your kindness and support. I relied on this forum six years ago and it’s great to know that there’s still always someone to listen.
Hope you’re both OK too. Bless you xxx
