Small lump on collarbone

Hi all

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here but I’ve had a small pimple-sized lump appear on my collar bone - very near the middle of my body but just about on the ‘good’ side. Could this be a recurrence? I was diagnosed Oct 2007 and had WLE, chemotherapy and rads with lymph node clearance on that side. I plan to call the breast care nurse on Monday but wondered whether anyone had any thoughts or similar experience.

Sorry you have found yourself in a worrying situation, and at a weekend. Your post was in the early hours so clearly keeping you up! I have no experiencei can offer, but i am bumping up this thread for you. I am sure other ladies will see and post soon. Take care and all the very best.

Sorry you have this to worry about and it could be many things, you are doing the right thing in contacting bc nurse on Monday and get it checked out asap. You say it is on your collar bone. I have lympy glands infected and they are are in between the bones not on them. I do hope it is nothing and you don’t have too long to wait to get it checked out.

Well I’m still non the wiser yet. The breast cancer nurse made an appointment for me to see the surgeon tomorrow, then yesterday lunchtime I had a letter changing it to 3 hours before the letter arrived! So now I’ve got to wait even longer till next Tuesday. Very frustrating.

Yes, I agree with Anne. I too have collarbone lymph tumours and they are under the bone and can’t be felt. Yours doesn’t sound like anything too sinister, but it’s wise to get it checked out. Waiting is hellish, though.

Hi Angela, just wanted to wish you all the very best for Tuesday. I don’t have anything on my collar bone (secondaries to the liver and spine) The spine doesn’t give me too much trouble and the onc isn’t particularly worried about them (well, he wouldn’t be would he, he doesn’t have them!!!) Sorry, my black humour again…

We’ll all be thinking of you and please let us know how you get on as soon as poss. I know how horrible and frightening this is as we all do and it always happens at the bloody weekend.
