Thanks Karen.
I have to say that I can’t sing the praises high enough for the QE. Fabulous ! The staff and especially my surgeon have been truly wonderful.
My little green book is next to me. If I’m not reading it then Himself is (just to make sure I’m doing it properly…lol)
Still a wee bit sore / tender. Still have the ‘tennis ball’ feeling but it’s only 24 hours since it was done, and only two weeks since the lumpectomy was done…
My poor boob is feeling a bit cheesed off at the moment with all the attention it’s receiving.
I in the middle of my radiotherapy at the minute, which is at the NCCC. Again everyone has been really nice and helpful.
The green book is really helpful and gives you a lot of information and I know what you mean about checking it to see that you are doing everything right!
It is early days for you as you say, I had mine at the end of August and still feel a lack of sensitivity under my arm, not numb as such but just a bit weird but they did say it would happen. I am not sure that I have had many suprises to be honest between my green book and this site I think I have been quite informed about everything which has been happening, just some minor things about cream and radiotherapy but finally spoke to the radiographer to get when the cream needed to be used, which actually contradicted the oncologist.
Don’t forget if there is anything I can help you with let me know (send a message if you would prefer)
Karen
