so so tired

Sorry to put a damper on the sleepover. My tiredness when its bad is so bad that I would never be able to cope with a DVD or a novel or back massage…if I could do any of these, anything than lie still, then it wouldn’t be what I call tiredness.

Jane

That’s ok Jane you not putting a damper on our fantasty sleepover…

Well put you in a comfy room with everything you want and a big

DONOT DISTURB sign on the door…

Then if you feel up to joining the rest of you can…

Now girls how about Sex and the city and while we are watching it
we can put our very girlie shoes on (whilst lying down of course)…

Mama Mia with a booby prize for the worst voice,
cause I bet we would all start to sing along.

Shall we order breakfast in bed for the morning???

Only if we get some sleep!! My daughter’s sleepovers involve being awake giggling and watching DVDs until 5 in the morning, needless to say she is fit for nothing the next day. We need duvets, a foot spa and someone to do a nice foot massage, how about Gone with the Wind ! Great for a bit of escapism!

Oh Jane, I do remember how all I craved was to be left alone - I know my friends meant well when they rang or called round, but the fatigue meant that I couldn’t concentrate on conversation at all.

And I don’t know how I would have even got to a girlie sleepover.

But putting that aside, it would be nice to know that I had a quiet, warm, comfortable room guarded by women with instructions not to let anybody distrub me!

Gone with the Wind would be good. I’ve watched it so many times I practically know it off by heart. But now I know what a tragic life Vivien Leigh had I always feel even more sad when I watch it. She was so lovely to look at.

Deirdre

Could we send out for our fantasy breakfasts? Mine would be eggs benedict or (to my shame) sausage&egg mcmuffin from McDonalds, with hash brown on the side. And an ensuite!! ( My bathroom is two floors down from the bedroom)

Hi JAne,
I am on weekly Taxol too - have had 18 so far, and Avastin on alternate weeks.
I also have it on Wednesday. Feel pretty good from the steroids and Benadryl that I get on that day, except that the Benadryl makes me zonk out with a lovely dreamless sleep for the whole day. Then I feel reasonable on the Thursday, but go downhill in the evening, do not sleep well at all that night and feel lousy on the Friday and/or Saturday.
My solution is to sleep really late in the morning - I was never a morning person anyway, and then get friends to invite my family over for dinner on Friday night! This way my kids get a good meal, and I am distracted from how bad I feel!!
Last week my onc. said that I could have a break of 1 week after every 3 cycles. Thank goodness! So I have a break coming up this week - shame they go by so fast.

So that means I am totally there for the sleepover!
Penny
